Google Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and how your page ranks in SERP (Search Engine Result Page) depends upon the following basic elements of a web page:

Content optimisations
Image optimisation

You must optimise the web page title to get high on google. The title page contents are displayed in search results. the <title> tag sits within the <head> tag of the html document. You should have unique page title for each web page of your site to acheive the bese SEO results.

The page description meta tag is placed within the <head> </head> tag. Google might choose to use this tag or may use visible text content from web page. It is always a good practice to add description meta tag to each of web page.

If you have good file name relevant to page contents it would help SEO.

Using right navigation structure would help optimising a website. The navigation helps visitpr find the correct contents quickly and also help google and other search engine understand what are contents are all about and what's the importance of a page through navigation structure. The text navigation or CSS based navigation are better choice for menu and navigation.

Offer quality content for your web pages. You must create fresh and unique content for your website.

Use useful file names for images and use "alt" tags for images to optimise images for web. You should always use brief but descriptive file names and alt text for images.
